Improving wellbeing for adults with cognitive disabilities

A wearable technology-enabled solution for stress and strong emotions

Our Technology

Our technology helps people with cognitive disabilities manage stress so they can spend less time worrying and more time enjoying life.

Our software platform uses a smartwatch and a mobile device. The smartwatch is worn by the person experiencing stress. The mobile app displays real-time stress levels and can be used by self-advocates or their caregivers (e.g. family member, respite worker, personal support worker).

What We Do

Stress, anxiety, and strong emotions can often present as barriers to inclusion and an enjoyable life for adults with cognitive disabilities. These barriers can be challenging to understand and see. This is where Awake Labs is making a difference.

Our technology helps:

  1. increase independence

  2. reduce the use of intrusive measures

  3. increase caregiver confidence

  4. improves quality of life
